Energetic Tours in Georgia

The plants in red offer tours. You can find contact information about them by clicking on the plant name. Plants that are not marked in red may also offer tours on special request.

Typically, tours are conducted for groups of 30 or fewer; 5th graders and older. Please write or call us to arrange a tour. Some visitor center hours are noted, but calling ahead is a good idea.

Plant McDonough is located off I-285 exit 10 on the inside of the I-285 perimeter at address 5551 South Cobb Dr. The plant entrance is approximately 1 mile on the left from I-285 before crossing the Chattahoochee River. Hours are 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

From Atlanta (I-20 West: Exit 8 (Douglasville) turn left, crossing back over I-20. Stay on GA 5 for approximately 25 miles to Whitesburg. Continue on GA 5 for approximately 10 miles to the four-way stop at Lowell. Turn left on Liberty Church Rd. The plant entrance is at the end of the road, 4 miles on the right.

From Atlanta (I-85 South): Exit 9 (Newnan) turn right on Bullsboro Drive. At the second traffic light, turn right on GA 34 bypass. Continue on GA 34 bypass for approximately 4 miles to US 27 ALT. Turn right, and proceed approximately 10 miles to Whitesburg. Turn left on GA 5. Proceed for approximately 10 miles to the four-way stop at Lowell. Turn left on Liberty Church Road. The plant entrance is at the end of the road, 4 miles on the right.

From Birmingham (I-20 East): Exit 3 (Bremen) turn right. Stay on US 27 for approximately 12 miles to Carrollton. Continue on US 27 through town. Approximately 7 miles south of Carrollton, watch for the John Deere tractor dealership on the left. Take the following left on Lowell Rd. approximately 5 miles to the four-way stop at Lowell. Cross GA 5, on Liberty Church Rd. The plant entrance is at the end of the road, 4 miles on the right.
